Eagle on the Move in the Snow

My internal alarm clock went off early yesterday, you don’t want to know how early. Starting with some coffee…then there was lunch to make and gear to pack while most still sound asleep.

The forecast was positive and this day would be my last visit North up along the shores of Lake Winnipeg for Eagles.

Up until now I’ve shared a couple perched Eagle shots which are fun to see and photograph…but perhaps time for some action as the snow let up.

One of life’s little pleasures is sharing with others that may not have the opportunity to see Eagles up-close and personal in the wild.

If it looks like, swims like and quacks like a duck…then the chances are it’s probably a duck. Mallard to be more specific with a large group of them found the other day at one of the city parks/ponds on a time limited outing.
Years ago I couldn’t believe that I was seeing ducks in a section of open water in the dead of winter.
Yes…ducks do over winter here in Winterpeg even when – 30c
