It was time for the Egret to move on and check on another location for food…just the right place at the right time.

Wuck Wuck Wuck
Pileated Woodpeckers have a very loud distinctive call…wuck wuck wuck. Since my camera never seems to be far away even when working at the lake…it’s drop everything and find the bird when you hear the call.
Playing at the Pond
Never had much luck with the Great Egret until the last couple days. These large birds are similar in appearance to the Great Blue Heron only pure white and a bit smaller in size.
Like the Heron they wade in the ponds in search of food
