Chick Rescue

Back in mid July the Alarm Bells went off…we had a Peregrine chick down. Our contact from the Hydro Plant in Selkirk alerted us that one of the chicks was on the ground…so off we went.
After some time searching the chick was located , scooped up and off to the rehabbers to be checked. After being given a clean bill of health and banded we returned to Selkirk.
The folks at Hydro have become very accommodating willing to help the Peregrine Project in any manner possible.

The chick looking somewhat bewildered and unsure as to what had taken place over the past 24 hrs soon found the ledge of the building. Then proceeded to do what chicks do when ready to fledge…Wingersize or flap, flap.
