Wouldn’t have made any difference weather your a photographer, birder or just out for a drive…could not have missed seeing this beauty perched along the shore line.

Sad news in the Peregrine World…Joli the resident female from the Logan site was found dead Oct 18th. 2017 of unknown cause ?
As humans we should not become attached but it’s hard not too…she was hands down my favourite Peregrine to photograph.
2012 Joli was with Cowboy (Brandon hatch 2000)
2014-2017 with Hart (Radisson hatch 2012)
Along with her mates they produced 19 chicks…6 females and 13 males.
Joli will be missed.

Finally a chance to go…with a close eye on the weather forecast and the day appeared promising.
Headed North for two hrs. up along the shore for Lake Winnipeg for the first check on Eagle migration. Morning started with overcast and cloudy skies which was disappointing but soon cleared.
I came to the conclusion that I’m still a bit early or the numbers may be down compared to past years with only 20-25 Eagles.
Not all of which would be within range to photograph…a fun day never the less with a few nice opportunities and a couple of up-close encounters.
Needless to say…for the next bit it will be all about Eagles.
