We knew summer would draw to an end sooner or later…trees are beginning to change and geese can be heard overhead.
As the seasons change so do the subjects…this is now the in-between period.
On the last visit to the channels close to the summer place and finally found a Great Blue Heron.
Swainson Hawk (juvenile) performs a balancing act along the roadway on a steel strand that runs between poles. You would think it’s a little difficult for them to grab…but apparently not.
As each day goes by it becomes less and less likely that Osprey will be found. It’s becoming that time of the year…the young are off on their own and the adults only have to feed themselves.
Two day search at the summer place found nothing more than a empty nest, poles and airspace.
Now I can only look back through the whack of photos that had been taken over the summer…won’t really expect to be able to get anything new on the next visit.
