My routine at the summer place in Gimli begins with an early morning pot of coffee…while most folks are still sound asleep.
With a full travel mug in hand I head out to check the usual haunts…never knowing what I may come across.
Pleasant surprise to come upon a Bald Eagle perched in a tree along the shores of Lake Winnipeg. He/she was perhaps there in search of a meal.
Bald Eagles primary food source consists mainly of fish and mammals…both alive and as carrion.
One just never knows what will be found when it comes to Mother Nature and what she has to offer.
