Every mid Aug I make time to visit the English Gardens here in Winnipeg to photograph hummingbirds before they start to migrate. I never expected to be rewarded with a bonus of watching a Cooper’s Hawk (juvenile) enjoy a morning bath.
Change of Pace
One day your focused on the largest raptors and the next the smallest of birds … hummingbirds are plentiful at the English Gardens this time of year and great fun to watch.
Osprey Up & Around
Recent visit to the Osprey nest in Gimli found both young up and flying. If you wait long enough one will take off to do a fly around with the second close behind and the same with their return to the nest.
