So it Begins

With recent warm temps and the return of other birds my Winter Owling has come to an end.
Other birds being Peregrines…First Bird returned on the First Day of Spring March 20th.
Appears we have 3-4 birds now back and it’s possible they may be moving about from site to site checking out the real estate.
As always each bird will need to identified…so the fun now begins.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to check on the Snowy activity. Now with the warmer temps the dirt roads will be very greasy and some/most impassable…which means some white knuckle driving if attempted ?

This year’s sightings have been good and I was able to spend a fare amount of time out-n-about.

The chances of finding owls in new locations will now increase as they soon will begin to start moving back up North.

It’s Getting Close

Close to the middle of March and the thoughts of Peregrines returning is now on my mind. We are now underway and have already begun to prep for another season.
The question that’s always on our minds at this time is…will Princess (Minneapolis hatch 2002) again return for another season ?
As you know she returned last year for her 15th season at the Radisson but they hadn’t produced any eggs.
Last year the first bird back was March 17th…so it’s a wait and see when and who will return this year.
Stay tuned as the clock ticks down.
