As winter owling nears the end I’ll say that it’s been a good year for Great Grays, a slow year for Hawk Owls and a very slow year for the Snowy Owls.
Never the less you play with the cards Mother Nature has dealt.
Cheers !

The two hour trips North have all been rewarding this year for Great Gray’s…well all but one day.
This owl perched nicely in the open along the roadside as it appeared ready to launch from it’s perch…then settled down and continued to soak up the sunshine.
Out-n-about in the Agassiz Forest area finds a Hawk Owl going about it’s business of locating a meal.
