Up close and personal with a Pileated Woodpecker that turned out to be my “One Day Wonder”…good thing I had cleaned the patio glass.

Build It and They Will Come…I’ve had peanut logs on the deck for years and you just never know what will turn up.
Visitor to the log yesterday was a Pileated Woodpecker…I would compare them to being Crow like in size if you have never seen one.
lucky that I was home and heard it’s loud distinctive call while in the living room.
Last time we had one was in Nov 2012…hopefully it will stick around and enjoy my peanuts.
