Intruder Attempts to Land

Previously at the Osprey nest site with the resident female defending the site from an intruder who made multiple passes. This was more than a pass with the intruder attempted to land in the nest…which didn’t go over well.

The resident pair were not in the mood for any visitor. The Old Saying holds true…Twos company, Threes a crowd.

Osprey on the Move

Shortly after arrival to an Osprey site while watching the female in the nest and suddenly she began chirping. More than a chirp for…Honey Bring Me That Fish Right Now.
Prolonged chirps that sounded more like defensive or alarm calling.

Then the intruder came into sight…another Osprey was in the area and off the nest she went.

Urban Osprey Have Now Returned

In recent years it’s been common to see Geese nesting in an Osprey nest…I’ve always wondered about those little goslings taking that first step and how they can survive the fall.

It was a delight to see that the Osprey have now returned to their nest and not have to deal with the Geese.

The site being only minutes away from home and located in a commercial area with easy access…making for quick Osprey fix when time is short.
