Osprey Action at the Summer Place

Well the summer place has been opened up…on arrival we found that a lot of bush/trees had been brought down due to wet heavy snow last fall. This was a first and it was time to play lumber jack and bring out the chainsaw.

This task went easier than I thought and the next morning I was able to sneak away early to have the first check of the Osprey nearby.
They didn’t disappoint me as the male was actively come and going from the nest providing lots of action…hopefully it’s going to be a good year for them.

It’s always been the case that I needed to travel to the summer place for Osprey. Now appears when notable for time at the lake I won’t be in Osprey withdrawal…with a couple nest sites close to home.
Still looking forward to checking Osprey at the summer place and the distractions they provided when there is things to be done…does this mean I’ll get more work done, probably not.

Reflecting Back to Past Years

Word has it that Osprey have now returned to the locations around our summer place…they are always something that seem to distract me from the Job Jar.
Well for now I’ve been reflecting back on some memorable encounters with the Osprey until such time I’m able to obtain some current photos.
Coming across a juvenile on a low post turned out to be the Bonus of the Day that morning.
Hopefully this year’s season will be successful for them and action packed.

Cheers !
