Continuing my search for winter owls finds a cooperative Northern Hawk Owl that I was able to spend a couple hrs. with.
After spending an hour watching ( much like watching paint dry ) he/she became active and began moving about.

Waiting for winter and the return of the Winter Owls…this Northern Hawk Owl perched low for a short time after an attempt for a meal on # 15 Hwy East of Winterpeg.
Hopefully the temps will drop and the back roads will freeze…plus a little sun would be appreciated Mother Nature.
