Snow Removal Required

You can’t save the world but sometimes humans can lend a helping hand to give birds a chance. This was the seen at the Logan site Saturday morning after we had been hit by a good amount of snow. The birds appeared to be having difficulty dealing with this white stuff that had filled their nest tray.

With only a small window of time for access a quick trip was made to do some snow removal, Joli has now gone on to lay her fourth egg and incubation has begun.

Should have chicks in 30-35 days.

Now the Fun Begins

Saturday March 11th 2:45 pm.our first bird returned to Winnipeg. Now confirmed that the first bird back was Hart. He’s the resident male from the Logan territory and not where he should be by hanging out at the Radisson.

Sunday, March 19th a second bird (female) think we know who she is but still need to confirm. She is also out of her territory.

Late afternoon another female shows up and it may very well be Joli, ( out of territory ) Hart’s mate from Logan.

It’s not Joli’s first time to visit the Radisson over the years.

Appears it could be an interesting year.

Cheers !
