In a Perfect World I would love to say that I know where I’m able to find all the raptors I love to photograph…but it’s not a Perfect World.
I simply take advantage of what Mother Nature provides.
This summer I was fortunate enough to be able to follow a family of Cooper’s Hawks.

The other day having just returned from the lake I was coming in through the back gate…what a surprise !
I had a Cooper’s Hawk perched on our fence…he/she only flew off next door and perched on a downspout that runs between the house and the garage.
I happened to be bringing in the camera at the time…timing was perfect and just in the right place at the right time
