Eagle on the Wing

Now nearing the half-way point of October…it’s time to think of some out-n-about trips up along Lake Winnipeg.
Eagles will now be collecting along the shores as they prepare to migrate.
Hopefully I can keep my calendar clear on those days that the forecast seems promising…unlike the snow that was encountered last year on Oct 19.

Like I say…worse the conditions the better the stories.

Eagle Action

Recent trip up North along the shores of Lake Winnipeg provided some Eagle Action. Seeing that its only mid Sept I didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Now looking forward to mid-October onwards for a higher concentration of pre migrating birds.
Will have to wait and see how things unfold.

If you recall from the last communication that stated…

Never the less my morning adventure out-n-about was exciting along with an Eagle just down the road past the Kingfisher.

After leaving the Kingfisher the next attempt was to see if I would be able to have the opportunity for a clear shot of the Eagle on the backside of the tree. Since all that was visible was its head…slow and easy would be the approach as not to spook it.
Merely a documented shot and a different perspective.
