Old n Forgotten…A Change of Pace

Many times during my travels I happen across some wonderful Old Buildings. They have now reached the end of their usefulness and simply left to fall apart over time.
I’m sure there would have been some interesting stories about those who lived there and the hardships they encountered.
Which makes me wonder if this old structure would have been some ones First One Room House…who knows.

Well when bird action is slow…I rely on Old and Forgotten Buildings which is definitely a change of pace from Owling.

Exciting when the Stars Align and have everything fall into place…when Out-n-About in search of Great Grays.
They are referred to by many as Grays, Greys, Ghost of the Forest, Phantoms of the Forest even Mouse-Munchers.

It’s been a hit and miss kind of year and now as the season draws near with roughly a month of Winter Owling left.

The good thing about photographing Snowy Owls they are less likely to be obscured by “Junk”…meaning branches, twigs or grass.
If trying to focus on something like a Great Gray in the bush the camera may first attempt to focus on branches or twigs in the foreground…which can be a bit frustrating but easily overcome.
Well…No Junk to deal with in this situation as the Snowy takes flight into the Wild Blue Yonder.
