Reflecting back to the Eagle encounters this past fall.
For the second year and was able to find two Eagles again perched on the same fallen tree in the same clearing…a pleasant surprise.
Keeping with the Snowy Theme.
Having to zig zag my way through the back roads due to a couple of snow bound roads and homeward bound under clear skies.
Recapping the day as I drive…suddenly an un-expected surprise along the road.
She sat there unconcerned with my presence and provided me with a late day reward before I continued on.
Mental note made and I must check this area again.
Hawk Migration
Mid December with Rough-legged Hawks migrating through in good numbers.
Originally this one was spotted on a pole next to the road that provided some perch shots…after some time it finally took to flight after being spooked by a large transport truck.
Just happen to be in the right place at the right time…thanks Mr. Trucker.
