Pre- Plunge

As we near the end of 2022 I must say Mother Nature hasn’t been very kind weather wise. Cloudy, snowy and windy conditions has prevented me from getting out-n-about to search for Winter Owls. Hopefully the weather will soon change as the camera sits collecting dust.

Looking forward to perhaps finding some current Great Gray action soon. These owls are amazing to watch. Even more so when actively hunting… whether from a low perch or flights out over an open area. With the ability to hover and all the time remaining focused on prey (voles/mice) beneath the snow.

If everything falls into place the owl drops like a rock…if lucky it will have a meal…if not the endless search for food continues.

Hopefully Soon

It’s a busy time of year for all…including me.
There’s been a lack of out-n-about adventures as of late…mostly due to the weather.
With a mix of snow and rain along with mild weather making many back roads impassable or clogged with snow.
Things will change…it will get colder and the sun will again be shining.
Thoughts of Snowy Owls and Great Grays fill my mind…so hopefully soon there will be some New Adventures.
