Trip to Lockport to see the return of the American White Pelicans…it’s still early for them as the river is high.
As the river drops more of these birds will collect at the bottom of the locks to spend the day fishing.

Big White Bird
Great Egret would be smaller in size than the Great Blue Heron but looks similar other than being pure white.
These birds are also found in wetlands/ponds where they search for food in the same manner as Herons.
On the Red River
