The Great Blue Heron is never in a hurry when searching of food…slowly wading along the shore, then pausing for long periods of time before it makes a strike.

Sometimes the end result is nothing more than a little snack.

Great Blue Heron takes to flight as it moved from one side of the channel to the other.

Not every time out can you expect to find these large birds…when you happen across one it’s great fun to watch.

Not much to say about this one…other than if you wait long enough the Heron will take to flight.
