Fathers Day Event

Fathers Day has come and gone for another year…what better way to spend the day than with my extended bird families.

Banding at two of the Winnipeg locations took place June 18th.

Logan site…3-females and 1-male
West Wpg…2-females and 2-males

Meet the West Wpg chicks…19-21 days old at time of banding.
All chicks are healthy and feisty.

Filled Up and Ready for a Nap

Earlier in the season a camera was installed to monitor the chicks for when
they hatched. Even though the camera had been pre tested it didn’t work once
connected for some unknown reason.
Have to love electronics !

Larry our “Camera Guru” was able to figure out the solution which meant
another trip to change it out.

At this point we had chicks and would need to wait for a warm sunny day to
do the camera swap …with everything prepped and ready to go we made a
quick on and off the roof trip.
So fast that I hardly had enough time for any pics.

Did make time for this one…meet the 4 “Little Darlings” from the Logan
site…they will be banded before the end of the month.

Eggs are Hatching

We have eggs hatching…as of May 26th. Joli & Hart ( Logan ) are proud parents of 4 balls of white fluff.

Not to be outdone…Faith & Ty (West Wpg) have 2 chicks that have hatched May 28th.
Both sites hatching out after 33 days.

I have a feeling that the first of Princess & Pip’s eggs will hatch today May 29th or 30th.
