So it begins…with the return of Peregrines site checks has become part of my daily routine The norm is to check site locations as well as roof top corners in the surrounding area where they love to sit…that’s a given.
Well sometimes we come across something out of the norm and could have been easily missed.
Now it’s common to find a crow on a light stand but not a Peregrine…just sayin.
Meet Ella the resident West Wpg female.

Saga Continues
Ella seemed right at home with Hart at the Logan site…now with more birds returning the saga continues. Ella has moved back to West Wpg with the return of Ty who was her partner from last year.
I’m sure they will soon get all things sorted out as to who will be with who.
Who is that Bird ?
We all know how wonderful technology is…more and more these wonderful gadgets have replaced the need for humans.
The Peregrine Project has been using cameras for a number of years to monitor nest boxes, chicks and ID returning Falcons. This all works fine if the birds cooperate…sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t.
Sometimes we still have to do “Old School” which is my preference and get that band # photo…now confirmed Ella has returned for another season.
Must say…lot more fun doing it Old School than watching on a pc.
