Action in the Sky on Banding Day

Someone was not happy with our presence on Banding Day…can’t blame her.

Well we now have the potential of adding 3 females and 1 male from the two locations banded into the Peregrine pool.
The chicks have yet to fledge which is always the concern when they do so…hopefully they will all fledge without incident.

It’s that time of the season for Peregrine chick banding.

The lone surviving chick at the Logan site was banded on the 23rd.

Temporary name has been Tot since she/he was the last to hatch…now Miss Tot as we banded the chick a female.

She may be given another name in the days to come…hope she enjoys her new bling ?

There was a need to visit the West Wpg site for some camera adjustments. Since there were eggs in the nest box it was mere seconds before Ella was airborne and defending the site.

With the camera now realigned we’ll be able to see when we have our first hatch here.
