Ready to Move On

Since becoming involved with the Peregrine Project fifteen years ago and only used to seeing them perched high above the streets below, things have greatly changed.
These birds no longer are necessarily drawn to the highest of structures and have over time chosen lower locations. Their locations range from being at the 30 floor (Radisson Hotel) to 10 floors and less at other sites.
In some cases they have even become accustom to using hydro poles and trees which makes IDing the bird much easier….so I really appreciate how they have adapted to different surroundings.

Peregrine Up-date

It’s been a strange spring in the Peregrine World…Pip (resident male) has returned to the Radisson Hotel along with Ella (West Wpg female last year) and confirmed they now have two eggs in the nestbox as of yesterday.
Which means that if all goes well the live camera will be the Radisson this year…there will be some details to sort out but everyone will be notified when it’s Show Time.

Hart (resident Logan male last year) having been displaced from the Radisson has claimed the West Wpg site as Ty hasn’t of yet returned…there’s still that possibility ?
He’s been working hard to attract one of three or four lady friends that have come to visit…none of which have been confirmed other than being both banded and unbanded.

The Logan site has had very little activity…although Hart has been there to visit a few times.

Also confirmed both Sundance and Marilyn have returned at one of the out of town sites.

In Brandon…Hurricane (F) and Wing Starr have settled right in and doing all the right things.
