Sometimes things just fall into place…as it happened here. She had been turned sideways looking in another direction then turned towards me…not sure who was more surprised me or the owl ?
Never the less an exciting few seconds.

On the Wing
Not to say it’s going to be a tough year for finding Snowy Owls…but we are off to a slow start ??
After day 2 searching for the Great White Owl from the North, I’m thinking I should have returned to recheck day 1’s locations…perhaps I would have had better luck ?
Never the less, a bright sun day with temps around -30c…it’s just nice to be out on the back roads around Winterpeg.

Talk about concentration and focused, what a delight to witness as I watched this owl zone in on a possible meal.
