Looking forward to the return of the Swainson Hawks again this year…hopefully they will return to the same location and provide some opportunities to follow their progress.

Birds on the Move
Bald Eagle movement is definitely underway in Manitoba…believe this would be a 2nd. or 3rd year bird.

Things to Come
Hopefully the Greater Crested Flycatchers will nest again in the wood lot at our summer place this year. It was exciting to spend a couple day’s with them last summer…fingers crossed I can locate a nest cavity.
The Greater Crested from what I understand is the only one of the flycatchers that nest in a tree cavity…their coloration and appearance is similar to the Western King Bird.
