Tree Topper

Finally the skies clear after what seems like weeks of overcast and rain.
Trip up North along the shores of Lake Winnipeg for Eagle migration finds that the numbers are definitely down from previous years.
So why the decline ?
I believe it has allot to do with the possibility that the commercial fishermen are now keeping more fish and just not throwing back as many…just my thought.
Never the less just nice to be out-n-about and able to photograph some Eagles…even if they are Tree Toppers.

Looking Forward to Winter

Over the years I have logged many kms/miles and put in countless hours in search of the Winter Owls…some day’s returning home with little to no rewards for the time spent.

Then there are times when Mother Nature cooperates and everything falls into place and stops you dead in your tracks.

It’s still much to early to be searching for the Ghost of the Forest but hopefully this year will be a good one.

Funny how I can’t remember names or dates but able remember locations of were a photo was taken.

Fingers crossed that it will be a good owling season…time will tell.

Easy to ID this Peregrine

Some times I have a bit to much zoom on the lens…given the speed at witch they fly that is understandable.
Definitely no ifs, ands or buts as to who this is…nice clean shot of the band plus the fact she has the antenna.

Spencer was the new resident female this year at the Logan site which required some extra care.
