There was a need to visit the West Wpg site for some camera adjustments. Since there were eggs in the nest box it was mere seconds before Ella was airborne and defending the site.
With the camera now realigned we’ll be able to see when we have our first hatch here.
I’m no future teller but I can definitely see some interesting times ahead this summer ?
The Bald Eagles nest site is just minutes away from our summer place in Gimli.
This means when the Boss Lady let’s me take a break I’ll have things to check.
Well not sure who was more surprised…me or the owl ?
Not really, the owl would have seen me long before I seen him. The fact that he didn’t just fly off was somewhat of an indication that a nest site may be close by.
Appears I stumbled into a pair of Great Horned Owls.
Will have to see just how this unfolds in the days to come ?
