Sometimes the conditions can be difficult to deal with…like when I came across this Merlin (male) and we had a bit of a stare down.
Having to deal with dull overcast skies and unable to move around to have any available sun at my back…never the less you take what Mother Nature provides and make the best of it.

Given the direction from where he came I believe the catch of the day may have come from one of the large ponds at Fort Whyte Centre.
Manitoba anglers must use barbless hooks when fishing in the province…as you can clearly see the Osprey adhere to this law.
One thing for sure is you wouldn’t want to mess with those hooks.
