Cloudy, snowy and windy conditions has prevented me from getting out-n-about to search for Winter Owls. Hopefully the weather will soon change as the camera sits collecting dust.<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward to perhaps finding some current Great Gray action soon. These owls are amazing to watch. Even more so when actively hunting\u2026 whether from a low perch or flights out over an open area. With the ability to hover and all the time remaining focused on prey (voles\/mice)  beneath the snow.<\/p>\n<p>If everything falls into place the owl drops like a rock\u2026if lucky it will have a meal\u2026if not the endless search for food continues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As we near the end of 2022 I must say Mother Nature hasn\u2019t been very kind weather wise.
