Not being nest builders they tend to use abandoned Crow\u2019s nest from the previous year.<br \/>\nFemales are dark brown and larger than the gray-blue males and about half the size of a Peregrine.<br \/>\nThe prolonged kee,kee,kee,kee calling is unmistakable\u2026some may find the sounds annoying along with the fact that their main diet consists of small birds.<br \/>\nHopefully they won\u2019t be chased off by Crows as I\u2019m looking forward to the possibility they may nest.<br \/>\nTime will tell.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As of late I\u2019ve noticed that a pair of Merlin\u2019s are expressing great interest in a pine tree close to me and doing all the right things.
