{"id":2726,"date":"2022-02-07T06:52:28","date_gmt":"2022-02-07T12:52:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/photosbydennis.ca\/blog\/?p=2726"},"modified":"2022-02-07T06:52:28","modified_gmt":"2022-02-07T12:52:28","slug":"another-day-another-gray-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/photosbydennis.ca\/blog\/2022\/02\/07\/another-day-another-gray-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Another Day Another Gray"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" onmousedown=\"alert('Sorry ... you will need to contact me if you wish to use this photo')\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pbase.com\/photosbydennis\/image\/172333604\/large.jpg\" alt=\"photo courtesy of Dennis Swayze\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve seemed to have developed a pattern by choosing Bone Chilling Days to search for the Winter Owls\u2026but on the Plus Side the sun was out and the winds light and it didn\u2019t feel like -30c.<\/p>\n<p>The First Great Gray was less than cooperative and was situated in a backlit tree with many branches\u2026the waiting game began for it to move but it wasn\u2019t meant to be.<\/p>\n<p>The second started out much the same when first spotted it but soon became active and was on the move from tree to tree.<br \/>\nFor the most part Great Grays are very human tolerant and you simply watch and wait. Great Grays spend their day in an endless search for prey and must be extremely difficult with so much snow cover.<\/p>\n<p>Interesting to watch them if they are active\u2026the sudden head jerks then the prolonged stare as they zero in on something beneath the snow.<br \/>\nSometimes the humans are on the receiving end of that stare\u2026which Stops You Dead in Your Tracks.<\/p>\n<p>Being witness to all this is a Pure Nature Rush.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ve seemed to have developed a pattern by choosing Bone Chilling Days to search for the Winter Owls\u2026but on the Plus Side the sun was out and the winds light and it didn\u2019t feel like -30c.
