This time of year Eagles are collecting before they begin to migrate with large groups often seen together.<br \/>\nI opted to check some new territory with high hopes of some rewards.<\/p>\n<p>Eagles being scavengers and often search out an easy meal&#8230;like a fish dump site that commercial fishermen use to discard fish remains.<br \/>\nIf one can stand the smell these locations may produce the rewards I was after.<\/p>\n<p>So the morning started at 4:30 am and after loading up the gear and packing lunch\/snacks I was on the road headed North on my Eagle quest.<br \/>\nThe new territory paid off and I soon ran out of fingers and toes and lost count&#8230;at the end of the day I figure I had seen over 150 plus Eagles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October is Pre Winter Owl Season but first need to make the annual trips in search of Eagles up along the shores of Lake Winnipeg.
