{"id":1533,"date":"2017-11-08T07:28:02","date_gmt":"2017-11-08T13:28:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/photosbydennis.ca\/blog\/?p=1533"},"modified":"2018-10-12T18:20:04","modified_gmt":"2018-10-12T23:20:04","slug":"peregrines-the-bitter-sweet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/photosbydennis.ca\/blog\/2017\/11\/08\/peregrines-the-bitter-sweet\/","title":{"rendered":"Peregrines&#8230;the Bitter Sweet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" onmousedown=\"alert('Sorry ... you will need to contact me if you wish to use this photo')\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pbase.com\/photosbydennis\/image\/166537418\/large.jpg\" alt=\"photo courtesy of Dennis Swayze\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Not a good year for the Peregrines as we lost three adults&#8230;Joli ( resident female Logan ) Bristol ( female from West Wpg 2014 ) and Beaumont ( male from West Wpg 2014 )<\/p>\n<p>Bristol had partnered up with Sundance ( Logan 2013 ) and successfully had 3 chicks&#8230;the Bitter was she had been found dead near the site.<\/p>\n<p>The Sweet being that 1 of their chicks was found, checked out, banded and fostered by Joli &#038; Hart at the Logan site&#8230;as circumstances had prevented us from returning her to the nest&#8230;and named Bridget.<\/p>\n<p>Sundance ( Logan 2013 ) now a lone parent went on to do a fine job in providing for two hungry chicks.
